'How to train your puppy' is for you who have a puppy and for you who have an adult dog!

Can't take any more having a disobediente dog?
Socialization: Socialize your puppy with various people, animals, sounds, and environments during their early weeks. This helps them become well-adjusted adults.
Basic Commands:
- Sit: Hold a treat close to the puppy's nose, then move it upwards. As their head moves up, their bottom will naturally go down. When they sit, give the treat and praise.
- Stay: Start with a short distance and gradually increase it. Use the command "stay" while holding your hand in front of their face. Reward and praise them for staying.
- Come: Call your puppy's name followed by "come," then reward them with treats and praise when they approach you.
House Training:
- Take your puppy outside frequently, especially after eating, drinking, playing, or waking up. Praise and reward them when they eliminate outdoors.
- If accidents happen inside, clean the area thoroughly to remove any scent that might attract them back.
Crate Training:
- Introduce the crate gradually as a safe and comfortable space for your puppy.
- Use positive associations, such as treats and toys, to encourage them to enter the crate willingly.
- Avoid using the crate as a punishment; it should be a positive space.
Leash Training:
- Introduce the leash and collar/harness gradually. Let the puppy get used to wearing them indoors.
- Start with short walks in a quiet area, rewarding good behavior and avoiding pulling.
Positive Reinforcement:
- Reward good behavior immediately with treats, praise, and pets.
- Use treats your puppy loves but keep the portions small to avoid overfeeding.
- Ignore or redirect unwanted behaviors; avoid punishment, as it can lead to fear and aggression.
Consistency:
- Use consistent commands and cues to avoid confusion.
- Everyone in the household should follow the same training approach.
Patience:
- Puppies take time to learn, so be patient and don't get frustrated.
- Celebrate small successes and gradual improvements.
Training Sessions:
- Keep training sessions short (5-15 minutes) to maintain your puppy's focus and prevent them from becoming overwhelmed.
- Puppy classes offer professional guidance and allow your puppy to socialize with other dogs.
- Trainers can help address specific challenges you might be facing.
Remember that each puppy is unique, so tailor your training approach to your puppy's personality and needs. If you encounter serious behavioral issues, consider seeking help from a professional dog trainer or behaviorist.
